Dmitry Ivanusa spoke at the conference “Faster, higher, stronger. Topical Issues of Sports Law in Eastern Europe”
On 21-22 September 2012, Dmitry Ivanusa, counsel with Sayenko Kharenko, spoke at the conference "Faster, higher, stronger. Topical Issues of Sports Law in Eastern Europe". The event took place in Kiel, Germany, and was hosted by the German Association for East European Studies (DGO), the German Sport University Cologne, the Kiel University, and the University of Salzburg.
This year's conference was dedicated to the football championship EURO 2012 in Ukraine and Poland, and the upcoming Olympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014, and gathered representatives of sports associations, lawyers, politicians and businessmen.
The conference focused on issues related to the development of sports law in the East European countries, conventions on international sports law, trends and experience in sports law in Eastern Europe, as well as sports arbitration.
Dmitry Ivanusa, head of Sayenko Kharenko’s sports law practice, spoke at the conference on "Legal aspects of the recent EURO 2012: A View from Ukraine."
Mr. Ivanusa is the Head of Association of Sports Law and Entertainment Law, public organization (Kyiv) and a member of the Commission on Juridical Matters and Relations with the State and Local Authorities of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. In 1996, Dmytro was a member of the Ukrainian National Swimming Team and performed at the Olympic Games in Atlanta, USA.
