Olena Perepelynska spoke at “Arbitration in Sport 2012” conference in Warsaw (Poland)
On 8 February 2012, Olena Perepelynska, counsel at Sayenko Kharenko International Arbitration practice, spoke at the conference “Arbitration in Sport 2012”, the first international conference in Poland concerning the sports arbitration. The event took place in the University of Warsaw and gathered the leading international sports arbitration specialists from Germany, France, Poland, Switzerland and Ukraine.The conference was organized by the Center for Alternative Dispute Resolution; the Lewiatan Court of Arbitration and YAPP (Young Arbitration Practitioners in Poland) were partners to the event.The conference was divided into three panels. In the first panel experts from different countries spoke on the international sports arbitration before the CAS in Lausanne. The second panel discussed the CAS Ad Hoc Division, UEFA EURO 2012 and football cases. The third panel presented certain issues related to sports arbitration in Poland.In her speech Olena focused on the framework and procedures of the CAS Ad Hoc Division in major sports events. Mrs. Perepelynska is Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and listed as recommended arbitrator of various arbitration institutions in Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Romania and Ukraine. She has extensive experience as counsel in international arbitrations under all major arbitration rules as well as in arbitration-related matters before Ukrainian courts.
