Sayenko Kharenko advises Barclays Bank on USD 550 million syndication to Ukrzaliznytsya

Sayenko Kharenko acted as a Ukrainian legal counsel to Barclays Bank PLC which arranged the provision of USD 550 million syndicated loan facility to the State Administration of Railway Transport of Ukraine (Ukrzaliznytsya) and six Ukrainian state-run railway operators. The facility became the biggest unsecured borrowing of Ukrainian state-run entities in the international loan market to date. It was also a debut syndication of the Ukrainian railways which marks the beginning of their active cooperation with the leading international financial institutions. The Sayenko Kharenko team advising Barclays Bank on this deal was led by partner Mykola Orlov, who was assisted by partner Michael Kharenko and associates Julia Hetman, Maryna Artemyshyn and Oleksandr Olshanskiy.
