Sayenko Kharenko’s counsel spoke at ADR Workshop
22 May, Kyiv, Olena Perepelynska, counsel with Sayenko Kharenko, spoke at the workshop on the Use of Alternative Dispute Resolution for Commercial Disputes organized by the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) U.S. Department of Commerce in coordination with the Ukrainian Mediation Center at Kyiv-Mohyla Business School.
The event gathered a number of prominent speakers from UNCITRAL, JAMS Institute, the Lviv Chamber of Commerce, the Ukrainian Mediation Center at Kyiv-Mohyla Business School and leading Ukrainian law firms. More than 50 arbitration practitioners from Ukraine, other European countries and USA attended the workshop.
In her presentation, Olena Perepelynska spoke on the problems and solutions in Ukrainian arbitration legislation, in particular: arbitrability of disputes, state court assistance to arbitration, enforcement of arbitral awards, effective court control over arbitral awards, etc. The topic sparked off a lively discussion among the participants of the workshop.
