Oleksandr Padalka spoke at IPF 2014

On June 26, 2014, Sayenko Kharenko’s partner Oleksandr Padalka spoke at the Intellectual Property Forum (IPF 2014) hosted by Yuridicheskaya Practika publishing house and supported by the State Intellectual Property Service of Ukraine.

The participants of the Forum, including judges, representatives of government executive bodies, profession-oriented Ukrainian and international organizations as well as representatives of leading Ukrainian law firms specializing in IP, discussed the development of IP in Ukraine, European future of the national IP market, protection of IP rights, national and international protection of industrial property, etc.

Oleksandr spoke on a panel entitled “IP rights protection in IT sector”. Mr. Padalka gave a presentation on such IP issues as copyright in the development of software, complexity of the software as an object of IP rights, conditions and procedures of transferring the property rights to the product in the form of software, problems of registration and protection of rights of software developers while creating works for hire as well as other related issues of computer programs copyright. 

Oleksandr is named a leading IP lawyer in Ukraine by Best Lawyers 2014 and among IP stars by Managing Intellectual Property Handbook; and is recognized among Top 5 lawyers in Ukraine for IP according to Legal Awards 2014 by Yuridicheskaya Practika publishing house.
