Sayenko Kharenko advised on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement

Sayenko Kharenko’s international trade team advised the Food and Beverage Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine on the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement provisions of the EU – Ukraine Association Agreement applicable to food and beverage industry in Ukraine.

Sayenko Kharenko analysed provisions of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement of the EU – Ukraine Association Agreement applicable to Ukrainian food and beverage industry in the following sectors/areas: (1) food safety; (2) requirements to technical regulations (including labelling requirements); (3) standardization (harmonization of Ukrainian standards in line with relevant EU standards); (4) food & beverage industry certification; (5) waste management; (6) excise policy; (7) dairy including comparative analysis of the applicable Ukrainian legislation and the relevant EU regulations, directives, etc.

Sayenko Kharenko’s team involved in the project was lead by counsel Nataliya Mykolska and included associate Anzhela Makhinova and junior associate Tetyana Makukha.
