Sayenko Kharenko’s lawyers spoke at the International Legal Forum “Ukraine – EU”

Nataliya Mykolska, counsel with Sayenko Kharenko, and Nazar Chernyavsky, Sayenko Kharenko’s partner, spoke at the International Legal Forum "Ukraine – EU", organized and hosted by Yuridicheskay Practika publishing house. The Forum was held in Kyiv on September 24 and gathered together heads of central state authorities, partners of leading law firms, executives and legal counsels of the largest enterprises in Ukraine, as well as representatives of international and Ukrainian non-governmental organizations and business associations.

Nataliya Mykolska took part in a panel discussion with the participation of Valery Pyatnitsky, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, Olena Zerkal, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on European Integration, and Bernard Casey, President of the American Chamber of Commerce (ACC). The panelists discussed the implementation of a national program of the Ukraine – EU Association Agreement, the methods of trade protection of the internal market, harmonization of Ukrainian legislation in line with EU requirements, the reform of individual branches of law and business expectations, as well as the application of the Association Agreement with the EU.

In the session devoted to agricultural and food industry, Nazar Chernyavsky spoke on the experience of the EU's support of agricultural products without violating anti-subsidy legislation.

The participants of the Forum also discussed the law reform, free trade area between Ukraine and the EU, the European future of Ukrainian business in different sectors (IT, telecommunications and e-commerce, banking and financial services), business integration, including creation of a favorable legal environment (intellectual property, harmonization regulatory environment, competition), the settlement of disputes in the context of Ukraine's economic integration into the EU.
