Tatyana Slipachuk spoke at the yearly SCC Arbitration Evening

Tatyana Slipachuk, partner with Sayenko Kharenko, spoke at the yearly SCC Arbitration Evening, held in Stockholm, Sweden on 26 January 2016.

The SCC Arbitration Evening is a get-together for the arbitration society, legal industry and business, and signals a starting point for the new year. The topic that was to be discussed by the panel this evening – What is the state of affairs of arbitration in Sweden – from an outside perspective? – was chosen to inspire as well as generate ideas of how to make arbitration in Sweden even better. The international panel consisted of Tatyana Slipachuk, Partner, Sayenko Kharenko (Kyiv), Erica Stein, Special Counsel, Dechert (Paris), Fredrik Ringquist, Partner, Mannheimer Swartling (Moscow), and Gisele Stephens-Chu, Senior Associate, Freshfields (Paris), and was moderated by Associate professor and SCC Vice Chairperson Patricia Shaughnessy. The panellists agreed that Swedish arbitration rests on a strong foundation, and that Sweden has a reputation as a neutral, mature and arbitration-friendly forum. They also highlighted that Sweden must continue to improve and innovate to maintain its position in the global arbitration arena.

Dr. Tatyana Slipachuk is a Chartered Arbitrator, an AAA neutral, listed as an arbitrator in major international arbitral institutions. Most recently, Tatyana was named International Arbitration Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers International 2016, and recognised No. 1 in International Arbitration according to Ukrainian Law Firms 2015 compilation by Yuridicheskaya Practika.
