Sayenko Kharenko boosts its antitrust practice with new counsel hire

Sayenko Kharenko has further strengthened its antitrust and competition practice with the hire of Oleksandr Nagorny who joins the firm as a counsel.

Oleksandr Nagorny has more than 20 years of experience in antitrust, competition and finance. His unique expertise in Ukrainian competition law stretches to its every aspect, including anticompetitive concerted practices (cartels cases), merger control, abuse of dominance, anticompetitive practices of state authorities, unfair competition, procedural aspects of the AMC’s activity, and public procurement issues.

Oleksandr co-authored the Law of Ukraine “On Protection of Economic Competition” (2001) and provided expert advice through the various stages of its review by the Ukrainian state authorities and final adoption by the Parliament. Furthermore, he is a co-author of the Concept of Competition Procedural Code of Ukraine, the draft law on securing proofs in cases on violation of competition law, the Rules on consideration of cases on violations of the competition law, and many other legislative and procedural acts in the competition law area.

Oleksandr joins Sayenko Kharenko from one of the oldest Ukrainian insurance companies. Prior to that, he held executive positions in the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
