Vladimir Sayenko met with heads of bar associations of the world’s leading countries

Vladimir Sayenko, Sayenko Kharenko’s partner, participated in the IBA Annual Bar Leaders Conference (IBA) as a Board Member and the International Relations Officer of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA). The conference took place in Belfast, Northern Ireland, on 25-27 May 2017.

Withing the conference Vladimir Sayenko met with Martin Šolc, the IBA’s President, Ruthven Gemmell, the President of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE), and heads ofbar associations of the world’s leading countries. The meetings addressed issues of judicial reform and advocacy reform in Ukraine, violation of lawyers’ rights and issues of international cooperation.

Vladimir also took part in the discussion of topical issues concerning the prospects of the legal profession and the transformation of the role of lawyers in the tendency of a wider use of artificial intelligence. In addition, Mr Sayenko thanked the representatives of the IBA and the CCBE for expert support and invited members of the international legal community to participate in educational and other professional activities for lawyers, which are held in Ukraine.

Vladimir Sayenko is a leading Ukrainian lawyer with international recognition in the areas of corporate and competition law. He is a Board Member at the Ukrainian Bar Association since its foundation in 2002.
