Sayenko Kharenko’s partner elected to the Public Council at KCSA

Sergey Pogrebnoy, Sayenko Kharenko’s partner, became a new member of the Public Council under the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration) for years 2017-2019. The constituent assembly regarding the election of a new board of the Public Council took place on 6 June 2017.

Members of the Public Council were elected by preferential voting with a help of ballots. Sergey Pogrebnoy became one of the 35 members of the Public Council elected from 499 delegates of institutions of civil society. Members of the Public Council will represent the interests of Kyiv citizens in the main areas of city’s life.

Sergey Pogrebnoy has more than 20-year experience of practicing law and specializes in complex dispute resolution procedures, litigation, investment projects, corporate security, corporate law, M&A, securities. Mr Pogrebnoy is named among notable practitioners in litigation according to Ukrainian Law Firms 2016 and Best Lawyers International 2017; recommended for dispute resolution by The Legal 500, 2017 and Chambers Europe 2016; recognized for real estate by The Legal 500, 2017 and Chambers Europe 2016.

The Public Council is a permanent collegial elective advisory and consultative body which is formed to ensure citizens’ participation in the management of public affairs, the exercise of public control over the activities of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (Kyiv City State Administration), the establishment of effective interaction of the KCSA with the public, the consideration of public opinion during formation and implementation of state policy in Kyiv.
