Sayenko Kharenko at the BRAVE1 UK Investment Tour
Sayenko Kharenko served as exclusive legal partner to BRAVE1 at the BRAVE1 UK Investment Tour – a programme designed to translate growing international interest in Ukraine’s defence sector into concrete investment decisions.
Ukraine’s defence industry is increasingly being viewed not only through the lens of wartime resilience, but also as a source of technology, manufacturing capability and long-term partnership potential. The tour brought together investors, financial institutions, defence manufacturers, technology companies and government stakeholders to explore where to establish production, how to structure cooperation and what investment models can support long-term growth.
Participants visited production facilities, testing sites and innovation centres across the UK, including the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC), one of the country’s leading advanced manufacturing hubs. Discussions focused on implementation: how to structure investments, build partnerships, localise production and deploy capital effectively.
As part of the tour’s Keynotes Session, partner Dmytro Riabikin shared practical perspectives on investing in Ukraine’s defence sector, covering direct investments, joint ventures and market-entry strategies for international partners.
The recently signed UK–Ukraine 100-Year Partnership Agreement provided an important backdrop for the discussions, which explored how that foundation can be translated into production partnerships, investment projects and industrial collaboration.
Dmytro Riabikin and Nazar Chernyavsky represented Sayenko Kharenko. The firm’s founders, Volodymyr Sayenko and Michael Kharenko, joined several meetings throughout the tour, reflecting the defence sector’s strategic importance to the firm.
