During the martial regime, Ukraine controls retail prices of a number of products, including food and gasoline
On 6 March 2022, the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine №223 determined the authorized bodies that exercise control over retail prices for certain types of products. The regional military administrations, together with the National Police, the State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, the State Service for Medicines and Drug Control are responsible for the stated. The list of products includes the following products:
- Foodstuffs: wheat flour, pasta, bread, buckwheat, oatmeal, pork, beef, poultry (chicken), milk, butter, sour cream, chicken eggs, sunflower oil, granulated sugar, white cabbage, onions, beets, carrots, potatoes,
- Medicines and alcohol: ethanol (96% solution), non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs of domestic origin, antibacterial drugs of domestic,
- Fuel: gasoline (brands A-92, A-95), diesel fuel, liquefied gas for cars.
