Nataliya Mykolska moderated panel at the Kyiv Post Food conference

On May 22, Kyiv Post publishing house hosted an all-day conference entitled “Protecting Ukraine’s food supply:  quantity, quality, safety” focused on a pivotal role of Ukrainian agricultural and food-processing businesses in Ukraine’s inevitable resurgence as a “breadbasket of Europe”.

As a part of the conference, Nataliya Mykolska, Head of the International Trade practice at Sayenko Kharenko, moderated a panel on export and marketing issues. The panelists, among whom the representatives of Ukrainian and foreign corporations and organizations, including Milkiland, Carlsberg, Delegation of the European Commission to Ukraine, Association of the Suppliers to the Customs Union and others, discussed best export markets for the next five years, advantages of Russia as a preferable export market vs EU, possible ways of export increase, etc.

The rest three panels covered the following issues: regulatory role of the state in food safety, food safety as business priority, customers’ demands for healthy, high-quality, safe and tasty food and others.
