Nataliya Mykolska, counsel at Sayenko Kharenko, spoke at the round table "EU-Ukraine Association Agreement: ABC for the lawyer», held on 4 September in Kyiv.
The first round table was devoted to the overall review of the Agreement, its institutional structure, the basic approaches and the mechanism of adaptation of Ukrainian legislation to EU law. In her presentation, Nataliya Mykolska spoke on the operating procedures of the Agreement taking as an example Ukraine’s food industry. This example demonstrates that the provisions of the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) will have great impact on the activities of not only Ukrainian enterprises exporting their products, but also on the activities of enterprises operating exclusively in the Ukrainian market.
The round table organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA), was the first of a series of events dedicated to the recent signing of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement. The participants of each thematic meeting will discuss various aspects of this landmark document for Ukraine. In late November the UBA will hold a large-scale conference "Association Agreement: for one and for all."
Nataliya Mykolska is named No. 1 International Trade lawyer according to Ukrainian Law Firms 2014; named Trade Lawyer of the Year for Ukraine by Best Lawyers International 2014; recommended by The International Who’s Who of Franchise Lawyers 2014, The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers 2014, The International Who's Who of Trade & Customs Lawyers 2014 and The International Who's Who Legal: CIS 2011 in Trade & Customs.
