Sayenko Kharenko promotes Dmitry Taranyk to partnership

Sayenko Kharenko has promoted Dmitry Taranyk to partner in the firm’s antitrust practice. The promotion will take effect from 1 January 2016 and will bring the total number of partners in the firm to nine.

Dmitry has over fifteen years of experience in advising clients on all aspects of the antitrust law, including merger control, concerted practices, abuse of dominance, monopolization and unfair competition. His practice covers antitrust matters in relation to multinational and domestic acquisitions, joint ventureswith a particular focus on resolving complex antitrust disputes involving multinational companies and developing antitrust compliance programmes and policies.

Dmitry’s clients operate in a wide range of industries, from financial, consumer products, chemicals, agriculture and electricity to financial, insurance, pharmaceuticals, retail, technology, entertainment and shipbuilding.

In addition to the primary focus of Mr Taranyk on antitrust and competition matters, he has been extensively involved in the matters of corporate law, M&A, foreign investments and privatization.

Dmitry holds an LL.M. degree from Pittsburgh University Law School and a master’s degree with honours in international law from the Institute of International Relations, Kyiv Taras Shevchenko University Law School.

Mr Taranyk is highly regarded by his peers and clients, and is recognized among the leading Antitrust lawyers for Ukraine by Ukrainian Law Firms, Chambers Europe, Best Lawyers International, Euromoney Expert Guides, The Legal 500 and The International Who’s Who of Competition Lawyers.
