Tatyana Slipachuk spoke at “Development goals for the Ukrainian automotive industry till 2020” roundtable
June 7, 2012, roundtable “Development goals for the Ukrainian automotive industry till 2020″ took place at SigmaBleyzer conference-room. The event was co-organized by InvestUkraine (“Investment One Stop Shop” of the State Agency for Investment and National Projects of Ukraine) and SigmaBleyzer supported by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine.
The roundtable participants which included state officials, policy makers, and industry players, debated The Concept of the State Program for Meeting Development Goals for the Ukrainian Automotive Industry till 2020 (the Concept), and discussed ways of avoiding potential pitfalls for the efficient and timely enforcement of the Concept. Tatyana Slipachuk, partner at Kyiv-based Sayenko Kharenko, head of the firm’s international trade and international arbitration practice groups, stressed the need for well-balanced government support in the industry. She emphasized the importance of implementing sound government support programs in the industry based on current national legislation as well as international treaties ratified by Ukraine. Ms. Slipachuk also referred to the best international experience, which, after having been adjusted to local settings, can become an efficient tool for tackling the problems of the Ukrainian automotive industry.
