Olena Perepelynska shared her experience as an arbitrator and a counsel in international arbitrations with Belarusian colleagues

On 26-29 June the legal community of Belarus welcomed high-profile experts in international arbitration from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia and Great Britain in the framework of a four-day intensive training on arbitration for practicing lawyers "Handling an international arbitration case". Olena Perepelynska, counsel at Sayenko Kharenko, and one of the leading experts for international arbitration in Ukraine, was one of the guest speakers, and coached the session “Conduct of arbitral proceedings. Collection and presentation of evidence”.

Olena Perepelynska delivered a lecture and discussed with the participants of the training a typical arbitration procedure, communication with an arbitral tribunal, selection of legal counsel, selection of foreign law legal counsel(s), compensation of legal costs, collection and presentation of evidence etc. Within a mock arbitration Olena also moderated a document production workshop and acted as an expert in a workshop on cross examination of experts.

The training was jointly organized by CIS Arbitration Forum, Belarusian State University, University of West London, Institute of Private International and Comparative Law, Sorainen Belarus, Danilevich Law Office and Muranov, Chernyakov & Partners .

Mrs. Perepelynska is Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and listed as an arbitrator of the leading arbitration institutions in Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. She has extensive experience as counsel in international arbitrations under all major arbitration rules as well as in arbitration-related litigations before Ukrainian courts. Olena is recommended as one of the best experts for international arbitration in Ukraine according to Ukrainian Law Firms 2012.
