Olena Perepelynska spoke at “Evidence in Arbitration” conference in Warsaw
On 13 February 2013, Olena Perepelynska, MCIArb, counsel at Sayenko Kharenko, spoke at the 4thAnnual International Conference “Evidence in Arbitration”, hosted by the Centre for Dispute and Conflict Resolution of the Faculty of Law of the University of Warsaw.
This year’s conference covered the main topic in the framework of three panels: evidence in arbitration – general issues; fact and expert witnesses; documentary and other evidence.
In her presentation Olena Perepelynska featured the most significant similarities and differences in the law and practice of evidence proceedings in litigation and in arbitration. She compared the approaches as to such principal sources of evidence as documents, witnesses and experts as well as differentiated between the powers of judges and arbitrators in taking evidence in general.
Olena has been named among Top 5 leading Commercial Arbitration lawyers for Ukraine by The International Who’s Who of Commercial Arbitration 2013.
