Sayenko Kharenko acts as a legal adviser on Tiligulska wind power plant with initial capacity of 126 MW

Sayenko Kharenko has acted as a legal adviser to DTEK Renewables in relation to entering into a contract with Danish company Vestas, the world leader in the production of wind turbines. The contract provided for the joint implementation of the first phase of DTEK’s Tiligulska wind power project (WPP), with a capacity of 126 MW, in the Mykolaiv region, Ukraine.

The construction of the first stage of DTEK’s Tiligulska WPP will be financed partially with the use of funds raised through the green Eurobond issuance in 2019 for an amount of EUR 325 million.

Sayenko Kharenko provided legal support to DTEK Renewables in the process of drafting and negotiation for concluding the wind turbine supply and installation agreements (FIDIC form). Particularly, the team verified compliance of the contract with Ukrainian legislation, analysed risks, and consulted on other issues regarding the contract conclusion.

DTEK Tiligulska WPP will install 21 Vestas wind turbines with a capacity of 6 MW each. This model is the largest onshore wind turbine in the Vestas portfolio with a rotor diameter 162 meters. Preparatory works are currently being completed on DTEK’s Tiligulska WPP site, with construction beginning in March and lasting up to the end of 2021.

Sayenko Kharenko project team was represented by counsel Maryna Hritsyshyna supported by senior associate Natalia Hutarevych.
