Sayenko Kharenko advised Credit Suisse on USD 465 million loan to Ukravtodor

SAYENKO KHARENKO acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to Credit Suisse in relation to refinancing of the USD 465 million loan to Ukravtodor, which was provided by Morgan Stanley in 2007.

The loan was provided at LIBOR + 8% and is subject to the guarantee from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

Credit Suisse is one of the world’s leading banks, providing its clients with private banking, investment banking and asset management services worldwide.

The State Road Administration of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) is a central governmental authority in charge of the public road system of Ukraine. Activities of Ukravtodor are directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

As a part of the debt restructuring process, this deal was handled by the banking and finance team of Sayenko Kharenko which included Michael Kharenko, Nazar Chernyavsky and Anton Korobeynikov.
