Sayenko Kharenko advised foreign lenders on a USD 150 million secured loan to Kernel Group

Sayenko Kharenko acted as a Ukrainian legal counsel to Natixis, UBS and Raiffeisen Bank International on the USD 150 million secured borrowing base facility to Inerco Trade S.A., a subsidiary of Kernel Holding S.A.

Natixis, UBS AG and Raiffeisen Bank International AG acted as arrangers and lenders of the loan, which was provided until 30 June 2012 for the purpose of financing the purchase, storage, transportation and transshipment of agricultural commodities such as feed corn, barley,rapeseed and soybean.

Kernel Holding S.A. is a diversified agribusiness company operating primarily in farming, in the production, refining and bottling of oil, in grain origination and logistics, and in the grain silos and port transshipment facilities owned and operated by Kernel.

Sayenko Kharenko team for the current transaction included senior associate Olexander Olshansky, associate Igor Lozenko and was led by partner Nazar Chernyavsky.
