Sayenko Kharenko advised on the USD 150 mln tap issue by Ukraine’s largest energy company

Sayenko Kharenko acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to joint lead managers Deutsche Bank, ING, JP Morgan, Sberbank CIB, UniCredit Bank and VTB Capital on the USD 150 million tap issue to be consolidated with the USD 600 million 7.875% Eurobond placement due 2018 issued by DTEK, Ukraine’s largest energy company.

Sayenko Kharenko also advised the lead managers on the original issue earlier in April 2013.  The proceeds of the issue were to be used to redeem the majority of the then outstanding USD 500 million notes due 2015 and to fund the company’s capital expenses, working capital, new acquisitions, as well as for other general corporate purposes.

Sayenko Kharenko’s team for the current transaction included senior associate Igor Lozenko, associates Marta Hontaruk and Olena Krasna and was led by partner Nazar Chernyavsky.
