Sayenko Kharenko advised on USD 350 million syndicated loan to Ferrexpo plc

Sayenko Kharenko acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to Ferrexpo plc on USD 350 million syndicated loan.

Deutsche Bank acted as coordinator, mandated lead arranger and sole bookrunner for the loan and provided funding, alongside 11 other prominent financial institutions, including ABN AMRO, Credit Suisse, Societe Generale, JP Morgan, UBS, BNP Paribas, and others.

The loan was provided for the period of 3.5 years and matures on 31 March 2014.

This financing, in addition to growing cash balance, provides the company with the financial flexibility to progress with key expansion projects.

Ferrexpo plc is a Swiss headquartered resource company with assets in Ukraine. It is principally involved in the production and export of iron ore pellets which are used in the manufacture of steel. Ferrexpo’s asset base is one of the largest iron ore resources in the world.
