Sayenko Kharenko advises Bayerische Landesbank, Bank of Tokyo Mitshubishi UFJ, HSBC and Intesa San Paolo on USD 200 million syndication to Raiffeisen Bank Aval

Sayenko Kharenko has acted as a Ukrainian legal counsel to Bayerische Landesbank, Bank of Tokyo Mitshubishi UFJ, HSBC and Intesa San Paolo, the mandated lead arrangers of USD 200 million syndicated loan facility to OJSC “Raiffeisen Bank Aval”. Open Joint Stock Company “Raiffeisen Bank Aval” is one of the largest banks in Ukraine and occupies leading positions on the financial services market. The recently attracted borrowing will be used for general corporate funding requirements, including trade-related transactions. The Sayenko Kharenko transaction team included partner Michael Kharenko and associates Nazar Chernyavsky and Yuriy Draganchuk. Earlier this year, the firm has advised Bayerische Landesbank, Standard Bank, HSBC and DZ Bank as the arrangers of USD 500 million loan facility to Raiffeisen Bank Aval that still remains the largest Ukrainian bank syndication and benchmark deal for Ukrainian financial sector.
