Sayenko Kharenko advises EBRD on EUR 50 million portfolio risk-sharing facility for Bank Lviv

Sayenko Kharenko acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in connection with a EUR 50 million portfolio risk-sharing facility for Bank Lviv, announced during the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdansk.

The risk-sharing facility supports a portfolio of new sub-loans and comprises two sub-limits: EUR 37.5 million under the Resilience and Livelihoods Guarantee product, supporting working capital and investment financing for Ukrainian private businesses across key economic sectors, and EUR 12.5 million under the EU4Business-EBRD Credit Line with Incentives for long-term investments by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.

EBRD is Ukraine’s largest institutional investor, having substantially increased its investment in the country since Russia launched a full-scale invasion in 2022. Since the start of the war, EBRD has deployed more than EUR 10.5 billion to support the real economy, with a particular focus on energy security, private-sector resilience and critical infrastructure.

Sayenko Kharenko’s team included Igor Lozenko, Oles Trachuk, Artem Medvetskyi and Yevhenii Sapojnikov.
