Sayenko Kharenko advises on USD 1 billion Eurobond issue by Ukraine

Sayenko Kharenko acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to JP Morgan and VTB Capital, joint lead managers of the issuance of USD 1 billion notes by the state of Ukraine, issued in accordance with Rule 144A.

The Notes with a coupon rate of 7.8% p.a. maturing in 2022 will be consolidated and form a single series with the USD 1.25 billion notes issued by Ukraine on 28 November 2012.

In 2012, Sayenko Kharenko advised on the USD 2 billion Eurobond placement by the state, which was tapped by the USD 600 million issue in September, thus becoming the largest-ever Eurobond transaction in Ukraine. Sayenko Kharenko has also acted as Ukrainian legal counsel on other Eurobond issues by Ukraine, including two successful issues in 2010 totaling USD 2 billion, the USD 1.25 billion issue in 2011 and the USD 1.25 billion issue in 2012.
