Sayenko Kharenko advises on USD 1.25 billion Eurobond issue by Ukraine

Sayenko Kharenko acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, VTB Capital and Sberbank in relation to the issuance of USD 1.25 billion notes by Ukraine, issued in accordance with Rule 144A and RegS. Notes had a coupon rate of 7.8% and will mature in 2022.

JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, VTB Capital and Sberbank acted as joint lead managers.

In 2012 Sayenko Kharenko advised on USD 2 billion Eurobond placement by the state, which was tapped by USD 600 million issue in September, thus becoming the largest-ever Eurobond transaction in Ukraine. Sayenko Kharenko has also acted as Ukrainian legal counsel on other Eurobond issues by Ukraine, including two successful issues in 2010 totaling USD 2 billion, and USD 1.25 billion issue in 2011.
