Sayenko Kharenko advises on USD 300 million Eurobond issue by Kernel

Sayenko Kharenko has acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to J.P. Morgan and ING, the joint lead managers of a USD 300 million 6.5 percent Eurobond issue by Kernel.

The new notes have a five-year maturity and stand out as the first capital markets transaction by Kernel since its debut Eurobond issue in 2017, when Sayenko Kharenko also acted as Ukrainian adviser to the joint lead managers.

Kernel is the world’s largest producer and exporter of sunflower oil and a leading supplier of agricultural products from the Black Sea region to global markets. Kernel supplies its products to more than 80 countries.

Sayenko Kharenko’s team was led by counsel Igor Lozenko and included associates Denis Nakonechnyi, Oles Trachuk, Yurii Dmytrenko and Daryna Sydorenko, with support of junior associates Oleksandra Maksymenko, Sofiia-Mariia Kuzminska and Vladyslava Mitsai.
