Sayenko Kharenko advises on USD 600 mln Eurobond tap issue by Ukraine

Sayenko Kharenko acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to joint lead managers JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, VTB Capital and Sberbank of Russia on the USD 600 million Eurobond tap issue by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine due in 2017.

In July 2012, Sayenko Kharenko advised on the original USD 2 billion Eurobond placement by the state, which after consolidation with the USD 600 million tap issue made it the largest-ever Eurobond transaction in Ukraine.

“The tap received immediate investors’ interest and was placed in a single day due to the positive market conditions and well-chosen time,” comments Minister of Finance Yuriy Kolobov.

Sayenko Kharenko acted on the majority of Eurobond issues by the State of Ukraine, including USD 1.25 billion issue in 2011 and two successful issues totaling the record USD 2 billion in 2010.

Sayenko Kharenko team involved in the transaction included partner Nazar Chernyavsky and associates Yuriy Draganchuk and Iryna Bakina.
