Sayenko Kharenko advises on USD 800 million financing to Summa Group

Sayenko Kharenko provided legal advice on Ukrainian law issues to Goldman Sachs, ING and Raiffeisen on USD 800 million financing provided to Summa Group.

The financing was provided for the acquisition of a stake in Far Eastern Shipping Company (Fesco Group) from Sergei Generalov’s Industrial Investors Group. The acquisition, which was one of the top-15 Russian M&A deals in 2012, will enable Summa Group to extend its geographical reach.

Summa Group is a diversified private holding with significant investments in port logistics, engineering, construction, telecommunications and the oil and gas sectors.

Sayenko Kharenko team for the current transaction included associates Igor Lozenko, Iryna Bakina and Marta Hontaruk and was led by partner Nazar Chernyavsky.
