Sayenko Kharenko advises on World Bank-guaranteed EUR 529 million facility to Ukraine

Sayenko Kharenko has acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to Deutsche Bank as the lender and arranger of a EUR 529 million facility extended to Ukraine under a guarantee from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The financing was provided in the form of two tranches of EUR 240 million and EUR 289 million, maturing in 4 and 10 years respectively. Earlier, Sayenko Kharenko advised Deutsche Bank on a EUR 349.3 million facility to Ukraine on similar terms. As a result of both transactions, the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine attracted a total of around USD 1 billion.

Sayenko Kharenko’s team was led by Igor Lozenko and included associate Oles Trachuk and junior associate Nazarii Pylypchuk.
