Sayenko Kharenko is finalizing negotiations with Yevgeny Solodko on accession
Sayenko Kharenko confirms that has been negotiating for a long time with Evgeniy Solodko and his team regarding joining SK and creating a powerful full-featured practice of white collar criminal defence, anti-corruption compliance, and corporate investigations. Since each of the parties has developed an impressive list of clients, the most important issue is interest conflict checking and a thorough approval procedure for each client who can move to SK.
Sayenko Kharenko CEO Nazar Chernyavsky comments: “Over the past few years, we have managed to develop a full-fledged practice of criminal law protection from the practice of anti-corruption compliance, which has existed in our country from the very beginning. Our attorneys now handle all types of criminal cases and investigations, including white-collar crimes, tax and corruption investigations, anti-counterfeiting, internal corporate investigations, and forensic. Therefore, we are especially pleased with the prospect of Evgeniy joining our team, as he is generally recognized expert in Ukrainian criminal law and procedure. Such cooperation will strengthen the firm’s position in working with local clients, as well as provide more comprehensive and practical solutions for our foreign clients.”
Partner Sergiy Smirnov adds: “We expect a significant increase in demand for highly professional services in the field of criminal defence, including among local clients. This is due to the emergence of new law enforcement agencies in Ukraine, as well as changes in the judicial system. Therefore, joining of the strongest criminal lawyers and one more partner happens at the right time. Each of us will be able to fully focus on our main area of criminal law protection.”
Yevgeniy Solodko adds: “Working in a large firm provides more opportunities and support for the team, which will raise the level of services even higher and will allow working with clients according to the standard of international firms, which has been successfully implemented in Sayenko Kharenko. We are all looking forward to a new stage in our work.”
