Sayenko Kharenko lawyers have prepared the Data Residency Guidance Note for OneTrust DataGuidance platform
International companies operating in Ukraine face specific requirements for storing and transferring personal data. Sayenko Kharenko lawyers have prepared a guidance note clarifying these obligations for DataGuidance platform.
The “Ukraine – Data Residency” guidance note provides a comprehensive assessment of the regulatory framework governing data localisation, residency, and storage requirements in Ukraine. The note is structured in two parts: the first outlines the general principles applicable to the processing and retention of general personal and sensitive data, while the second elaborates on specific regulatory regimes applicable to distinct categories of information, including accounting and tax records, HR data, financial, medical, telecommunications, and governmental information, as well as data pertaining to critical infrastructure.
DataGuidance serves as a vital resource for privacy professionals, in-house counsel, and organisations navigating data protection compliance across multiple jurisdictions. The platform provides jurisdiction-specific analysis and practical guidance on critical privacy and data security topics.
This publication demonstrates Sayenko Kharenko’s data protection expertise and helps international companies navigate Ukrainian data residency and cross-border transfer requirements.
The publication is being co-authored by partner Oleg Klymchyk, senior associate Anastasiia Finko and associate Viktoriia Posvystak.
