Sayenko Kharenko Secures Ukrainian Merger Clearance for the Joint Venture between Trimble and AGCO

Sayenko Kharenko’s antitrust team acted as Ukrainian legal counsel for Trimble in obtaining merger clearance for its joint venture with AGCO, a global leader in designing, manufacturing and distributing agricultural machinery and precision ag technology. The USD 2 billion deal successfully closed in April 2024.

Trimble, founded in 1978, is a technology company specialising in positioning, modelling, connectivity and data analytics that transform critical industries such as construction, geospatial, agriculture and transportation. AGCO, formed in 1990, supplies equipment and services to help farmers sustainably feed our world.

Sayenko Kharenko represented Trimble in the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine’s review process and proved that a combination of the parties’ activities would not lead to significant market share increments and demonstrated the absence of any competition concerns resulting from the deal.
