Sayenko Kharenko was named Law Firm of the Year by International Financial Law Review

SAYENKO KHARENKO, a leading Ukrainian law firm, was named Law Firm of The Year in Ukraine at IFLR 2011 European awards ceremony held at London’s Dorchester Hotel on 23 March 2011.

The national team award winners were named in 25 jurisdictions across Europe and given to the firms with the best track record in 2010 for local law advice on the most innovative international finance deals from the country in question. This includes debt, equity and equity-linked deals, M&A, project finance and restructurings.

SAYENKO KHARENKO was voted the top firm in Ukraine, carrying off the prestigious award. The firm has become the first ever Ukraine Law Firm of the Year for the IFLR European Awards. National team award winners for other European jurisdictions include Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, Freshfields, Linklaters, Weil Gotshal & Manges, White & Case, and other outstanding teams.

Over the last year SAYENKO KHARENKO strengthened its leading position in the core transactional practices on the Ukrainian market. For five years in a row Sayenko Kharenko is No. 1 by the number of largest deals in Ukraine according to 50 Largest Deals in Ukraine research by Yuridicheskaya Praktika, the leading Ukrainian publisher. In 2010, for instance, the firm handled 22 out 50 largest deals in the country. Sayenko Kharenko tops all transactional league tables for Ukraine including for debt and equity capital markets, debt restructuring, banking and finance, M&A, and antitrust, according to the most recent Ukrainian Law Firms 2011 research.
