Sayenko Kharenko’s lawyers participated in the III Competition Forum of Ukraine

Sayenko Kharenko’s lawyers, continuing a long tradition of contributing to the competition area in Ukraine, joined antitrust officials to discuss topical issues in competition practice in Ukraine and the CIS countries at the III Competition Forum, which took place on 7-8 November in Kyiv.

Attendees included representatives of the antimonopoly authorities of the CIS member-states and foreign competition authorities, the Eurasian Economic Commission, representatives of the leading Ukrainian and international law firms, judges, representatives of academia and business circles of Ukraine and Russia.

Dmitry Taranyk, counsel, and Predrag Krupez, associate, were speakers at the Forum. Mr. Krupez spoke on the main principals of the effects doctrine and the need for procedural and substantive convergence between Ukraine and the European Union. Mr. Taranyk briefed the audience on unfair competition issues from the clients’ perspective. Vladimir Sayenko, the firm’s competition partner, moderated the third session on the international experience in the investigation of cartels.
