Andriy manages complex international arbitration and cross-border litigation matters handled by the firm. He has over 10 years of experience consulting clients on a wide range of contentious matters, including international commercial and investment arbitration and cross-border litigation matters.
Before joining Sayenko Kharenko, Andriy worked in the Kyiv office of one of the leading international law firms. His expertise includes representing clients in international arbitration proceedings under the arbitration rules of International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and International Commercial Arbitration Court at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICAC), as well as in ad hoc arbitrations under UNCITRAL rules. He also has experience in handling cases under FOSFA Rules of Arbitration and Appeal.
Andriy participated in several investment arbitration proceedings, representing clients in disputes with the state, in particular at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
Andriy also has a vast experience of representing clients in Ukrainian courts in commercial cases and bankruptcy proceedings with foreign element. He also handled multiple cases related to recognition and enforcement of the foreign arbitral awards in Ukraine. In particular, he acted for award creditors in the first ever recognition in Ukraine of the emergency arbitral award rendered under the Rules of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC).
