Snizhanna specialises in antitrust and competition law and focuses on various antitrust law aspects, including merger control, concerted practices, abuse of dominance, and unfair competition. As a part of the Sayenko Kharenko’s antitrust team, Snizhanna is primarily involved in cases of obtaining merger clearances for numerous mergers and acquisitions by international companies.
Snizhanna’s recent experience includes advising:
- CMA CGM in obtaining merger clearance of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for the acquisition of 49% of shares in COSCO SHIPPING Ports (Spain) Holding S.L.;
- Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) on obtaining merger clearance in Ukraine for its USD 69.1 billion acquisition of a 70 per cent stake in Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) from the Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia;
- PGNiG on securing a merger clearance from the AMC in the course of the acquisition of a controlling stake in Karpatgazvydobuvannya LLC from ERU Management Services LLC;
- ADM, Bunge, Cargill, COFCO, Louis Dreyfus Company and Glencore Agriculture on obtaining clearance of the AMC for the joint venture developing an independent and trusted digital platform to enable post-trade efficiency for the participants of the agri-industry;
- Elementum Energy Limited obtaining merger clearance of the AMC for the buy-out of the minority stake of its partner Volterra Energy Group in a joint venture company that had successfully developed ten solar power plant projects in Ukraine with a total installed capacity of 147 MW;
- AbbVie Inc. on obtaining merger clearance of the AMC for its acquisition of Allergan plc in a cash and stock transaction for an equity value of approximately USD 63 billion.
