Two exclusive Ukrainian nominations and four shortlistings for Sayenko Kharenko at the Women in Business Law EMEA Awards 2026

Valentyna Hvozd and Olena Sukmanov stand as Ukraine’s only nominees in their respective categories at the Women in Business Law EMEA Awards 2026 – one of the most competitive legal recognition programmes across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Valentyna Hvozd has been shortlisted for Antitrust & Competition Lawyer of the Year, while Olena Sukmanova has been shortlisted for Litigation Lawyer of the Year.

The firm’s presence at the awards extends further: partner Anzhela Makhinova has been shortlisted for International Trade Lawyer of the Year, and Sayenko Kharenko is shortlisted for Ukraine Firm of the Year.

The shortlistings place Sayenko Kharenko at the forefront of Ukraine’s presence in the region’s leading women-in-law recognition, reflecting the firm’s track record in high-stakes matters and its sustained commitment to female leadership in the legal profession.

The Women in Business Law Awards, now in their 16th year, recognise outstanding women legal practitioners and the law firms that provide the strongest platforms for their growth across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The awards are based on independent research, including submissions, firm data and market feedback.

Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on 25 June 2026 at The Biltmore Mayfair, London.
