Ukraine law change means rightsholders need to prepare

On 15 April 2025, the Verkhovna Rada (the legislative body of Ukraine) adopted in principle Draft Law No. 13087 dated 12 March 2025 (the “Draft Law”), which, if passed, will fundamentally change the established approaches to resolving patent disputes in Ukraine between pharmaceutical companies concerning the application of the so-called “Bolar provision.”
