Ukraine suspends anti-dumping/safeguard investigations and reviews of anti-dumping measures

On 28 February 2022, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine (the “Ministry“) informed all interested parties of anti-dumping/safeguard investigations and reviews of anti-dumping measures conducted before introducing martial law in Ukraine that all deadlines were postponed. Information on the renewal of such deadline will be communicated by the Ministry additionally. Currently, it is only known that martial law was introduced for 30 days, i.e. the renewal of all deadlines is possible at the earliest only after 5 April 2022 in case the war ends by that time.

Please note that before the introduction of martial law on 24 February 2022, the Ministry conducted the following 12 investigations/reviews:

  • anti-dumping investigation on imports of certain products made of asphalt or similar material (euroruberoid and bituminous shingles) originating from the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus;
  • interim review of anti-dumping measures on imports of carbon and other alloy rods originating from the Republic of Belarus;
  • interim review of anti-dumping measures on imports of extra table salt originating from the Republic of Belarus;
  • anti-dumping investigation on imports of glass containers originating from the Republic of Belarus;
  • anti-dumping investigation on imports of coated carbon steel originating from China;
  • anti-dumping investigation on imports of silicon-manganese steel wire products originating from China;
  • anti-dumping investigation on steel seamless cold-drawn and cold-rolled pipes originating from China;
  • interim review of anti-dumping measures on imports of cement originating from the Republic of Moldova;
  • safeguard investigation on imports of sodium hypochlorite irrespective of country of origin and/or export;
  • safeguard investigation on the imports of PVC profiles irrespective of country of origin and/or export;
  • safeguard investigation on imports of three-cone bits irrespective of country of origin and/or export;
  • safeguard investigation on imports of certain types of cheese, irrespective of country of origin and/or export.
